Devtest History |

In 1999, Sarah Richey left Microsoft
Corporation to start Advanced Software Testing Solutions (ASTS) in
Sydney Australia with a business partner who owned a sister software testing
consultancy. |

From this partnership and a client
list of referrals from Microsoft, the company grew successfully to a staff of
18 employees. |
|
|

After two years experiencing the
corporate side of software development in Australia, Sarah realised that
"testing" had a stigma associated with it that was quite different to the role
of testing at Microsoft Corporation. To remove an obstacle of "testing as
an afterthought", Sarah changed the focus away from testing and towards
managing the quality of Software Development projects. |

Devtest Pty Ltd was set up as a
company that partners with development, and measures and guides the progress
using metrics and development testing practices during the development cycle -
not simply when development is almost completed.

In 2001, Sarah became the sole
Director of Devtest Pty Ltd. |

In 2003, Devtest commenced its first
international Development project, partnering with CMSU Microsoft, Redmond,
USA. |

Also in 2003, Devtest became a
Microsoft Gold Certified Partner |

In 2004, Devtest hired an
Ex-Microsoft Systems Development Engineer and Development Manager of 15 years,
Jaybe Ammons, to assist on leading edge, .NET projects. |
